I received this email last night in response to the feedback I submitted about IABC eXchange on Tuesday: Hi, Robyn – Sorry not to have gotten back to you before now; it’s been a little crazy around here in the last couple of weeks. Thanks for suggesting we add an option for members to just manage their eXchange profiles without creating a site. I forwarded your message on to our development team; no one had brought it up before the public beta started, but we agree it would be a great feature to add. We’re also working on adding the capability to view and search public eXchange blogs as more are created, and we plan to add that browse/search functionality to the eXchange landing page. Thanks again for your feedback, and feel free to let me know if you have any other questions. Member feedback during this beta phase is critical, and we expect that eXchange will only get better in the coming months. Best, Tonia D’Amelio Web Administrator, IABC I'm glad to know that IABC is living up to its slogan, "Be Heard" and it's nice to finally have someone admit that my arguments were valid. My only question is: given IABC's access to some of the world's leading communication and social media experts within their own membership base, am I really the only person who brought up the idea of letting users set up a profile without creating a site? Hmmm, I must be smarter than I thought. The good news is that eXchange will be getting better. So stay tuned. I know I will. |
